Why I Wear Pink

Breast cancer affects everyone. Recently, it affected our family when my wife Heather Elias was diagnosed. The physical and mental toll on those impacted is significant. The concern for our loved ones. The concern for our own survival, is very real and very unsettling. The toughest times in our personal lives often lead to new revelations of what our life priorities should be.  That’s why I’m stepping up to fight breast cancer with my wife Heather and all of you too!

 

Heather is this years chairperson of the Men Wear Pink campaign in Utica, NY. Since I am in a position to make a difference within this community, and since I have been directly impacted by this terrible disease, I have this responsibility to help others. By raising money and awareness through Men Wear Pink, I am doing what I can to end breast cancer as we know it, for everyone.

 

Why I Support the American Cancer Society

Men Wear Pink is a national awareness campaign to highlight the significance of breast cancer. Ambassadors such as myself are holding events and raising money to end breast cancer as we have unfortunately known it.

 

The American Cancer Society is doing more to improve the lives of those impacted by breast cancer than ever before. They’re helping people take steps to reduce their risk of breast cancer to find it early, when it’s easier to treat. They fund groundbreaking breast cancer research, and they’re working to ensure access to mammograms for women who need them.

 

Please join me, Heather, and others, who have committed our time and financial support. We are doing our part to end this disease and we need you. Heather is still fighting to overcome the impact of breast cancer.

 

Together, we will make a difference – and that is the ask. Please do what you can to contribute your time and financial support to this years 2024 Men Wear Pink campaign.
