The Utica National Group Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Utica National Insurance Group, is the new title sponsor of the Boilermaker 5K Race, the popular event held annually in conjunction with the renowned Boilermaker Road Race weekend of activities in Utica every July. A longtime supporter of the Boilermaker, Utica National, through its foundation, has served as the title sponsor and primary organizing body of the Utica National Kids’ Run, another popular Boilermaker event, since the Run’s inception in 1989.

“For 105 years, Utica National has been a keystone community partner to so many in our region,” said Boilermaker President, Mark Donovan. “The Boilermaker is incredibly grateful for their generous support over the past three decades and is thrilled with the decision to increase their participation with the title sponsorship of the 5K event on Boilermaker Weekend. We look forward to growing our partnership in years to come.”

“The Boilermaker is one of the events that helps define summer in Central New York,” said Utica National Chairman & CEO Rich Creedon. “We’re excited to serve as the title sponsor of the 5K Race, in addition to the Kids’ Run, and appreciate the opportunity to help continue bringing these fun and healthy activities to the community.”

The Boilermaker 15K Road Race and 5K Race will take place on Sunday, July 12, 2020.
