The Neighborhood Center, Inc. and Accelerate Sports are proud to launch their Third Annual Community Coat Drive. This ongoing partnership aims to support local children and families by collecting new and gently used winter coats. Donations will be accepted now through December 5, 2025, helping ensure our neighbors stay warm throughout the winter season. Community members can drop off new and gently used winter coat donations at Accelerate Sports, located at 5241 Judd Rd in Whitesboro, NY. The coat drive addresses a growing need in the community, with demand for winter clothing assistance expected to exceed previous years. Last winter, The Neighborhood Center experienced increased requests for coat assistance through its client services programs.

“Last year, we experienced an overwhelming need for winter coats among our clients, and we anticipate an even greater demand this year. We are incredibly grateful to Accelerate Sports for partnering with us this holiday season, helping us provide essential warmth to those we serve through our Holiday Assistance Program,” said Jennifer Benn, Director of Public Relations and Development.

The collected coats will be distributed in December through The Neighborhood Center’s Holiday Assistance Program, which serves families throughout the region during the winter months. This distribution system ensures that donations reach families who have been identified as having the greatest need for winter clothing assistance.
