This designation is awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial exams, then continue ongoing annual education programs to sustain their skills and certification. This formal recognition further positions Rust as an expert in financial planning and advocate for Strategic’ s clients.
Rust joined the Strategic Financial Team in November of 2017 after moving back to the greater Utica area from Boston, MA. In Boston, Rust spent time at Edward Jones where he completed a Financial Advisor Career Development program which included one-on-one training, mentoring and real-world, on the job experience which launched his career into Financial Planning. In addition to his CFP® certification, Rust holds a BS in Management with a concentration in Financial Planning and Minor in Corporate Finance from St. John Fisher College.
