Step Back in Time at Our Prohibition Party Celebration

April 8 – April 11 | Four Days of Beer Specials, Inspired Brews & Bites

Get ready to raise a glass and rewind the clock! From April 8th through April 11th from 11 am-8 pm, with a special Prohibition Party celebration.
Guests are invited to experience beer specials, Prohibition-inspired brews, and themed bites.

A special highlight of the event will be a tribute to Utica Club, famously recognized as the first beer sold in the United States following the repeal of Prohibition.

Our story begins in 1888, when West End Brewing Company was founded by F.X. Matt in Utica. Like many breweries across America, the company thrived producing traditional
beers until Prohibition in the United States began in 1920. For thirteen years, it became illegal to produce, sell, or consume alcohol. Rather than close its doors, the brewery
adapted. During those dry years, the company pivoted to producing near beer, malt tonics, and soft drinks under the Utica Club name. This diversification kept the brewery
alive and became a powerful example of resilience and innovation during one of the most challenging periods in American brewing history.

When beer became legal again on April 7, 1933, now celebrated as National Beer Day, it marked the beginning of the end of Prohibition in America. Just months later, history was
made when West End Brewing Company became the first brewery in the country to receive a federal license to sell beer again. Shortly after midnight on December 6th, the first legal
beer poured in the United States after Prohibition was Utica Club.

Join us and toast to history made with a classic Utica Club, brewed still with the original recipe.
