“We’re incredibly proud and excited to donate this plow truck to support the Utica Zoo’s daily transportation needs,” said Carly Steet Mathias, Digital Marketing & Communications Manager for the Steet Ponte Auto Group. “Years ago, we were able to provide a Toyota Prius, and it means so much to continue that tradition of partnership. The Utica Zoo is such a family-friendly staple in our community, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support the important work they do every day.”
Steet Ponte Auto Group has been a generous partner for more than a decade, supporting the Utica Zoo’s mission to inspire connections to wildlife through conservation education and fun that matters. This professional collaboration has allowed the zoo to provide reliable and safe transportation not only for its staff members, but the many animals they care for as well. The Toyota Prius in particular has served them well by providing transportation for educational programs to communities beyond zoo grounds and throughout the state, expanding the zoo’s impact and mission.
The co-branding of this specific new vehicle (a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD) allows the zoo to remain polished and professional while conducting zoo business and upholding their exemplary AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) accreditation.
Andria Heath, Executive Director of the Utica Zoo declares they “are honored to be a recipient of this generous contribution from the Steet Ponte Auto Group. It’s more than a vehicle for our zoo; it’s a lifeline that helps us care for animals, support our staff, and expand the work we do every day. Thank you Steet Ponte for helping us drive our mission forward.”
