St. Elizabeth College of Nursing (SECON) graduated 67 new nurses on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Of the 67 graduates, 45 attended weekday classes and 22 participated in the evening/weekend program. The 115th graduation ceremonies were held at the St. Elizabeth College of Nursing in the Multi-Purpose Room.

College President, Varinya Sheppard, DNP, RN, CENP; Dean of Student and Faculty Development Kimberly Panko, MS, RN; Weekday Senior Class Advisor Brandi Sullivan, MS, RN; and Weekend Senior Class Advisor Laurie Franklin, MS, RN, presented the graduates with their Associate in Applied Science degrees and SECON pins.

Darlene Stromstad, FACHE, president/CEO of Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS), welcomed the graduates, faculty, staff and participants. The commencement address was given by Father Joseph Salerno, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica, New York.

The valedictorian was Alicia Radley of Whitesboro, New York. Salutatorian was Helen Beyer of Marcy, New York.

SECON is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc., and registered by the New York State Education Department.
