Utica Zoo’s Spooktacular Returns for Two Days of Family-Friendly Halloween Fun & includes Dino Discovery
The Utica Zoo is excited to announce the return of its annual Spooktacular event, happening this Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19, 2025. New this year……Dino Discovery will be present during Spooktacular! 
Catch the life-sized animatronic dinosaurs before they go extinct again!
The two-day Halloween celebration offers festive fun for the whole family, including live music, costumed entertainment, spooky science, and more.
Guests are encouraged to come in costume (sorry, no inflatables) and enjoy a variety of themed activities throughout the zoo grounds. From dancing to a Thriller flash mob to karate demonstrations and hands-on experiments, there’s something for all ages to enjoy.

Saturday, October 18 Highlights:

    • Jim Okey Magic, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
    • The Happy Haggs (Dance Crew), 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Karate Demonstrations by Karate USA – All Day
  • Thriller Flash Mobs by Center Stage Dance Studio – 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
  • MVCC Future Engineers Club – Hands-on science experiment table

Sunday, October 19 Highlights:
  • Entire Zoo Open
  • 13 Trick & Treat Stations
  • Live Music by Amos Donnell
  • The Enchanted Broom Crew (Dance Crew), 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Karate Demonstrations by Karate USA – All Day

Regular zoo admission fee (members’ admission is free) and the additional $5 Trick or Treat Activity card will be required for all who wish to participate.  Guests are encouraged to bring treat bags and dress in costume to fully enjoy the experience.
