Utica Zoo’s Halloween Pumpkin SMASH takes place this upcoming weekend! Saturday, November 1st and Sunday, November 2nd at the Utica Zoo are bound to give everyone pumpkin to talk about!

Our magnificent animals while have the opportunity to use their hooves, paws, claws, beaks, and teeth while they enrich themselves with some seasonal pumpkins throughout the day!

Enrichment is an important part of animal care, encouraging animals to utilize their natural behaviors, while also stimulating their mind and body simultaneously. Pumpkins will be provided to each animal exhibit throughout the day by our zookeepers, offering our animals the ability to scratch, sniff, bite, and play all day!

Guests can see how each animal interacts differently with their pumpkins this weekend, while following our detailed schedule so they don’t miss any favorites!
