What: Guardians of Health: Advocating for Cervical Cancer Prevention

When: Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 2:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m.

Details: This event will raise cervical cancer awareness and encourage prevention with a special focus on the needs of those in the LGBTQIA+ community. The event includes:

• • No-cost cervical cancer screening service enrollment.
  • Call 1-888-345-0225 to schedule an appointment and to find out whether you or someone you know qualifies for free cancer screenings.
• No-cost HPV vaccination for qualifying individuals. Insurance also accepted.
• Health fair tables and/or presentations from healthcare providers and community organizations, including:
  • Cornell Cooperative Extension
  • Tobacco Free Communities
  • Oneonta NAACP
  • Bassett’s Gender Wellness Center
  • Otsego County Department of Public Health
