New York Sash Announces Promotion of Jace Diehl to Bathroom Crew Leader and CAPS Certification Achievement by Design Consultant Kevin Sullivan
New York Sash is pleased to announce two significant milestones within its bathroom remodeling team: Jace Diehl has been promoted to Bathroom Crew Leader, and Design Consultant Kevin Sullivan has earned his CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist) certification through the National Association of Home Builders. Both advancements reinforce New York Sash’s commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible, and customer-focused bath remodeling solutions.
Diehl’s promotion follows a successful 10-month apprenticeship, where he completed comprehensive hands-on training and factory certification in Chicago. His strong attention to detail, professional growth, and leadership made him a natural fit for his new role. As Bathroom Crew Leader, Diehl will oversee bath installation projects and ensure every remodel meets New York Sash’s standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
“Jace has shown tremendous initiative and skill throughout his apprenticeship,” said Jill Hayes, CEO at New York Sash. “His leadership ability and dedication to doing the job right make him an excellent addition to our leadership team.”
Diehl is also a third-generation New York Sash team member. His father, Bob Lopiccolo, and grandfather, Dave Lopiccolo, are both long-time Design Consultants with the company—Dave having served for more than 21 years. Now, Jace carries that family legacy into the field, bringing homeowner designs to life with precision and craftsmanship.
In addition, New York Sash is proud to announce that Design Consultant Kevin Sullivan has officially earned his CAPS Certification, a nationally recognized credential focused on accessible, barrier-free, and aging-in-place home design. This specialized training equips Sullivan to better assist bath customers, seniors, and homeowners planning modifications that support long-term independence and safety.
“With Kevin’s CAPS training, we’re further strengthening our ability to guide homeowners toward smart, safe, and future-focused bathroom solutions,” Hayes said. “It’s another step toward ensuring our customers receive not only great products, but expert support tailored to their needs.”
New York Sash is a trusted leader in bathroom remodeling, offering tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in showers, and accessibility upgrades designed to improve safety, comfort, and independence. With specialized installation crews and trained design consultants—including experienced veterans like the Lopiccolo family and certified professionals like Sullivan—the company continues to expand its expertise in serving homeowners across Central New York.
