Grab your cape and celebrate five years of discovery, fun and hands–on learning at the New York Power Authority’s New York Energy Zone’s Super–Powered Saturday on Saturday, August 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free community celebration marks the Energy Zone’s fifth anniversary with a day packed full of superhero fun, Touch–A–Truck experiences, interactive activities, giveaways, and family–friendly entertainment.

Since opening its doors five years ago, the Energy Zone has welcomed thousands of visitors to explore the fascinating world of electricity, energy, and innovation through immersive exhibits
and hands–on experiences.

“Super–Powered Saturday is both a celebration of that milestone and an invitation for families to discover—or rediscover—everything the Energy Zone has to offer,” Energy Zone Community
Relations Manager Kali Zigrino said. “Whether it’s your first visit or your twenty–first, there’s something exciting waiting for everyone.”

Calling All Superheroes!
The day’s biggest attraction is the popular Touch–A–Truck, where children can climb aboard and explore police, emergency vehicles, and NYPA’s equipment while meeting the people who help
keep New York moving. Superheroes will be on hand for photos and activities, while bounce houses, arts and crafts, safety demonstrations, games, and giveaways promise nonstop fun
throughout the day.

Inside the Energy Zone, visitors can enjoy interactive exhibits, experience a 3D movie, learn how electricity travels across New York State, explore renewable energy technologies, and even
step into the role of a grid control room operator.

Located adjacent to the Utica Zoo, the Energy Zone makes it easy to turn one last summer weekend into a full day of family fun. With free admission, free parking, indoor and outdoor
activities, and something for every age, Super–Powered Saturday is the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer and an exciting five–year anniversary while discovering why learning about
