A new year brings fresh energy—and if you’ve been following along, you may have noticed some updates taking shape at the Chamber. We’ve been slowly refreshing our website and branding to better reflect who we are today and where we’re headed. If you haven’t taken a look recently, we encourage you to explore the updates and see what’s new.

Over the past year, we’ve also taken time to thoughtfully refine staff roles and responsibilities to better serve our members and the broader business community. As the Chamber continues to grow, so does the work we do—these shifts help ensure clearer communication, stronger support, and an even better member experience.

Here’s a quick snapshot of who to reach out to and how we support you:

• Kari leads the overall vision and strategic direction of the Chamber, working closely with the Board of Directors and partners to move the organization forward and advocate for the business community.

• Sean oversees all or our Chamber Events and What’s Upstate, while also managing marketing and communications efforts that tell the story of our region and promote Chamber initiatives, programs, and partners.

And coming soon—you may notice a new face or role added to the team. We’re launching a Membership & Engagement Coordinator position focused on welcoming new members, supporting existing members, assisting with sponsorship outreach, and serving as a primary point of contact for businesses looking to connect more deeply with the Chamber. This role is designed to strengthen relationships and ensure members are getting the most value from their Chamber investment.

And one more exciting update to share as we kick off the new year: we are proud to announce the formation and approval of the Greater Utica Chamber Foundation, our newly established 501(c)(3). The Foundation will allow us to expand and support mission-based work that strengthens our business community, workforce, and quality of place—opening the door to new partnerships, funding opportunities, and community impact.

This is an important step forward for the Chamber and the region, and we’re just getting started. More details, initiatives, and opportunities to get involved will be shared in the coming weeks.
