The organizations receiving $4,000 each are Amazing Gracie’s Gift Foundation, Hope in Action and 315K for the Cure. As an incentive for employees to participate in the Boilermaker Corporate Challenge, NBT pledged to contribute a set dollar amount for every employee who registered for the race. The resulting $12,000 donation reflects both employee participation and the bank’s commitment to supporting local children and families facing serious health challenges. NBT Bank also sponsors the Boilermaker Wheelchair Race.

Hope in Action is dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families throughout diagnosis, treatment and survivorship in Central New York. Through community-driven programs and resources, the organization works to provide encouragement, connection and hope during every stage of the journey.

315K for the Cure raises funds to support children and families receiving care at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. Through community events, fundraising initiatives and advocacy efforts, the organization helps enhance the treatment experience for pediatric cancer patients while advancing support for their families.

Co-founder Colin LaReaux said, “On behalf of myself and co-founder Brooke Hoffman, we are especially proud and honored to be the recipients of funds raised through the Boilermaker. Both of us were treated as children at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse for pediatric cancer and we share an affinity for all things Utica, especially the Boilermaker, which inspired the name 315K for the Cure. This contribution will be placed in 315K’s endowment fund with the hospital for long-term financial support, or earmarked for specific events hosted by the hospital, such as pizza parties, movie nights, holiday gift giveaways and other activities that support patients and their families.”
