Munson will host a free Art Alive! Family Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25. Activities include crafts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Root Court, a performance by Grammy Award-winning group The Secret Agency at 11 a.m. and songwriting workshop at 1 p.m., and a family-friendly menu at the Terrace Café.

The Secret Agency, an internationally touring, purple-velvet-tuxedo-wearing family funk phenomenon, have combined the positive, primal power of hip-hop with the surreal storytelling of science fiction since 2007, racking up a total of 10 No. 1 hits on SiriusXM and have been featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered” twice. Their music videos are currently playing on NBC’s kids’ show “Sprout House.” Nominated for a Grammy in 2014, The Secret Agency went on to win a Grammy in 2017 for “Best Children’s Recording.” As well as releasing six full-length albums, two books, one record, a line of hot sauce, and an E.P. that combines the entire Asheville Symphony with beats and rhymes, frontman 23 Skidoo has written and produced the music for the US Library’s Summer Reading Program for six years running.

Art Alive! Family Days at Munson are held during school breaks as a way of getting kids and their families connected and familiar with the museum.
