Celebrating our Staff

On March 29 the Masonic Care Community held a celebratory dinner at the Harts Hill Inn to thank and recognize employees with five or more years of employment with the organization. More than 100 people were in attendance at this special event.

“Our dedicated employees are essential to our mission and the care we provide for the older residents in our facilities and the children at our childcare center,” shares Robert Raffle the Executive Director for MCC. “At MCC we are proud to have so many long-standing employees which demonstrates their strong commitment to the organization and the people we serve.

More than 75 MCC employees received recognition of service awards. Of these, three very special staff members were recognized for 45 years of employment at the Masonic Care Community. This included Lori Biel (Food and Nutrition Administration Clerk/Nutrition), Judith Saraka (Unit Clerk/Nursing), and Diane Titus (External Transport/Nursing).

In addition, employee of the year recognitions were awarded at the dinner to Mary Gabriel, Rahjaliek Hammett and Amber Eckler, all certified nursing assistants at MCC. This recognition is awarded to employees who excel in the performance of their work while also contributing to the overall well-being of our residents. Mary, Rahjaliek and Amber were nominated for these awards by their peers and it is a reflection of their outstanding contributions in support of the organization’s mission, the MCC team, and the people who live at MCC.

“To have employees work for an organization for so many years is truly extraordinary,” states Michele Kohl, the Director of Human Resources at the Masonic Care Community. “We know that they are exceptional individuals and we are grateful they are part of the MCC staff. We also know it is a strong testament to the culture at the Masonic Care Community and a reflection of what an outstanding place it is to work.”

Keith Heinrich who has been connected to the Masonic Care Community for 47 years as the former Executive Director and as a current member of the organization’s Board of Trustees, thanked the employees for the amazing work they do caring for others and the significant impact they have on people’s lives every day.
