“I asked Santa for a stuffed dog, and I got one!” Bella screamed excitedly last Christmas. Bella had to leave her home just a few months before Christmas and did not have time to pack all of her favorite things, including her stuffed toy, Scruffles the Dog.

Every year, people like you make a difference to hundreds of local children and families. Including children like Bella who was a five-year-old in our Foster Care Program. Or teens like Trey, a 14-year-old who had suffered loss and neglect throughout his childhood, and had no hope or expectations of a merry Christmas. But because of our kind-hearted community, he woke last Christmas morning to find the residential cottage decorated with colorful lights and shiny garlands. And most spectacular of all, the tree that he had helped hang ornaments was suddenly housing piles of wrapped gifts.

Health and safety are top concerns, so we are making a few changes to our donation process. We encourage monetary gifts or online shopping from one of our Wish Lists.

Please visit ChangingChildrensLives.com and click on Holiday Hopes to give a gift today. And don’t forget, December 1, is Giving Tuesday! Please consider a donation to our annual Child’s Promise campaign.
