Dear Chamber Members,

This past week, I had the opportunity to attend the New York State Business Council’s Annual Meeting, where leaders from across the state gathered to discuss pressing issues shaping our economy. Sessions covered everything from federal policy impacts on New York, to upgrading our energy grid, to how technology is driving our state’s future. We also heard insightful perspectives on the political landscape heading into 2026 and the realities New York must navigate in today’s economic climate. A highlight of the event was a keynote address from David Axelrod, who shared his unique vantage point on politics, leadership, and what’s ahead nationally and locally.

Closer to home, our Chamber is keeping the momentum going with a busy week ahead:

• Tuesday, September 23: Business After Hours at Delta Hotels by Marriott, 5–7 PM. A great chance to connect with fellow members in a lively setting.
• Thursday, September 25: Lunch & Learn: 5 Keys to Unlocking Business Growth  (12–2 PM). Perfect for Startup founders and early-stage teams looking to scale quickly and efficiently, Business owners wearing “too many hats,” Controllers/CFOs seeking predictable labor costs, and Operations or office managers juggling HR, payroll & compliance duties.
•  Ribbon Cutting:Catholic Charities Oneida/Madison County 100th Anniversary (3:30–4:30 PM).
• Catalyst Young Professionals Group Monthly Meet up at Biergarten
• Saturday, September 27: Catalyst Young Professional Group Second Annual Disc Golf Tournament presented by Bank of Utica (9 AM–2 PM).
