The 12th Annual Home Show is taking place this weekend, February 3^rd and 4^th, at the Utica University Nexus Center. Presented by Energy Savers, it is the largest showcase of home improvement products and services in the Mohawk Valley with over 130 home service companies.

Interior remodeling, exterior remodeling, real estate, insurance, landscaping, energy, security, and home services – the Home Show features the best companies from across the region that will be available to demonstrate products and answer questions related to home ownership and upkeep. There will be shopping vendors, informational resources and the return of the New York State tasting area with dozens of vendors sampling and selling wine, spirits and unique foods.

A highlight of the Home Show is the Home Improvement Giveaway where attendees can enter to win prizes totaling over $14,000 in value. Prizes include a retractable awning from Awnings and Canopy’s by Sure Seal, a $3,000 gift certificate or Louisiana Founders pellet grill from CNY Custom Concrete and Masonry, a four camera security system from Big Apple Music, an $800 gift certificate to Joe Tahan’s Furniture or even a flat screen TV from The Home Show. The Home Improvement Giveaway is free to enter with no purchase necessary and is just for Home Show attendees.

There will be entertainment happening all weekend long in the First Source Federal Credit Union Seminar Area. On Saturday at 1pm bring your treasures to find out what they might be worth with a seminar and appraisal session with 4^th Wall Comics and Collectibles. At 3pm watch a live cooking show with student-run UticaTV club. On Sunday, don’t miss Utica University Coach Gary Heenan take the Hot Ones Spicy Food Challenge at noon. Plus, gather valuable information on home financing and weatherization programs with multiple seminars throughout the weekend.

The Utica University Nexus Center at 400 Oriskany Street West in Utica is also packed with amenities. Attendees can stop by the Utica Club Lounge or the 72 Tavern next door for food and drink, or grab a coffee at the Utica Coffee Café.

The Home Show will be open to the public Saturday, February 3rd from 10am-7pm and Sunday, February 4th from 10am-5pm. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, military, first responders and healthcare workers and free for children 16 and under. On Saturday, wear Utica Comets gear to save $2 at the door. Show promoters suggest buying a ticket on their website in advance to be able to skip admission lines.
