F.X. Matt Brewing Company proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone honoring Diane Szablak, Receptionist and Accounts Payable specialist, who has dedicated
63 years of service to the brewery and recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

Szablak joined the company in the early 1960s and has become a beloved presence at the historic Utica brewery. Her tenure makes her only the second employee in company
history, after founder F.X. Matt the First, to continue working into their 90s.

“What’s really special about Diane is not just how long she’s been here, but how much she represents who we are as a company,” said Fred Matt, President of F.X. Matt Brewing
Company. “Her commitment, resilience, and sense of humor embody the spirit of our brewery.”

Over the decades, Szablak has witnessed significant changes in workplace culture and brewing operations, from being paid in cash to helping support a modern, multi-brand
brewing operation. Through it all, she credits the people for her longevity. “It’s a good place to work,” Szablak said. “We’ve got a good team, we work together, and
we have a good boss.”

Szablak’s favorite beer remains Utica Club, a brand she has seen evolve alongside the brewery itself. Reflecting on her time at F.X. Matt Brewing Company, she shared, “I’ve been
here so long, I can’t leave it.”

The company hopes Szablak will continue her historic tenure for years to come, with a lighthearted goal of reaching 100, surpassing even the founder’s 99-year legacy.
F.X. Matt Brewing Company, established in 1888, remains one of the nation’s oldest family-owned breweries and continues to honor the people whose dedication has shaped
its history.
