GPO Expands Community Charter Across Central and Northern New York

GPO Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the approval of its expanded Community Charter, creating new opportunities to serve additional communities throughout New York State.

With this expansion, GPO can now serve individuals, families, businesses, and other eligible organizations that live, work, worship, attend school, or regularly conduct business in Hamilton, Herkimer, Oneida, Madison, Otsego, Chenango, Onondaga, Lewis, and Essex Counties.

The expanded charter reflects GPO’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communities, increasing access to financial services, and building meaningful relationships throughout the region. It also supports the credit union’s long-term growth strategy as GPO continues to invest in the communities it serves.

While membership eligibility is expanding, GPO’s commitment remains unchanged. The expansion also complements GPO’s continued investment in the region, including plans for its new Chittenango branch anticipated to open in Fall 2026.
