Largest “Flags for Heroes” Check to Benefit Sitrin Military Program to be Presented
The Good News Foundation (GNF) will present a check to the Sitrin Health Care Center Military Program on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 9:00 am. The presentation will take place at the Good News Foundation, located at 10475 Cosby Manor Road, Utica, during their end-of-year meeting. The funds represent the total proceeds from the 2025 “Flags for Heroes” event.
From November 4 through November 11, 2025, a thousand U.S. flags were displayed in a solemn formation on Utica’s Memorial Parkway. This moving tribute was organized by the Good News Foundation in collaboration with local veterans’ organizations and the Sitrin Health Care Center to honor the nation’s heroes. All proceeds from the flag display are dedicated to supporting Sitrin’s Military Program.
The Sitrin Health Care Center Military Program is specifically designed to treat veterans and service members who are dealing with a range of physical, emotional, and cognitive issues. The program distinguishes itself from conventional veteran care by offering tailored treatment options and social activities that cater to the specific needs and interests of each individual. It has provided crucial support to those who have experienced traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideations.
On behalf of The Good News Foundation, Brian Saville, CEO/Executive Director, and Mathew Kiefer, Barbara Countryman, and Scott Bolen, Good News Foundation Board Members, will make the presentation. Jackie Warmuth, Vice President of Clinical Development, Sitrin Health Care Center, and Marc Deperno, Vice President, Foundation and Communications at Sitrin Health Care Center, will be present to receive the funds on behalf of the Military Program.
