First Source Opens New Herkimer Branch
First Source Federal Credit Union officially opened the doors of their new Herkimer Branch on Monday, 4/27. Groundbreaking took place at the end of last year and the team has worked
diligently to bring this brand new space to life.
The original branch, which sits right next door, will be temporarily used for community partner trainings. Also, much of the furniture and furnishings from this space were able to be donated to community
organizations. Eventually, this space will become welcomed, expanded parking for our members and employees.
“This project has been a long time coming,” said Sandy Sherman, First Source Senior Vice President of Member Services. “What started as more of a temporary branch solution has stood strong for over 30
years with an enormous amount of membership traffic and volume for much longer than initially anticipated. To say this branch has been “busting at the seams” is an understatement.”
The new Branch offers a modern and cozy feel with the same personal approach you expect from First Source. There are self-serve, assisted, and full-service delivery channels offering members flexibility,
convenience, and personalized service. The free-standing ITMs located behind the branch have remained where they are.
“Thank you to the Town of Herkimer, Smajic Construction, NewGround International, and our First Source Teams for all of their work in making this new Branch a reality,” said John Calabrese, First Source
President/CEO. “We are very proud to make this investment in the Herkimer community and to open this new facility to our employees and our members.”
