First Source Federal Credit Union to Light It Up Blue
This April Branches Go Blue for Parkinson’s and Autism Awareness
First Source Federal Credit Union is proud to shine a light on two important causes this April. Throughout the month, First Source will illuminate branches in blue to honor Parkinson’s
Awareness Month and Autism Acceptance Month, helping to spark conversation, build understanding, and support individuals and families affected by both conditions.
In addition, Employees will wear blue on Thursday, April 2nd celebrating World Autism Awareness Day and on Saturday, April 11th for World Parkinson’s Awareness Day.
“Awareness is the first step toward meaningful change,” said Pam Way, Community Engagement Manager. “By lighting our buildings blue, we’re showing our support for all those touched by Parkinson’s
disease and autism. We want our members, neighbors, and the community to know they’re not alone. Even small gestures can spark conversations that lead to greater understanding.”
Parkinson’s disease affects millions worldwide and is the fastest-growing neurological condition. Meanwhile, Autism Acceptance Month highlights the importance of embracing neurodiversity and
supporting individuals on the autism spectrum through inclusion and respect.
First Source encourages community members to learn more about both causes and to join in supporting local organizations, advocates, and families throughout April.
