First Source Federal Credit Union is proud to announce high school senior and First Source Member, Carson Cook, as the recipient of 2 scholarships as part of the 2022 NY Credit Union Association’s scholarship program.
Carson had the highest cumulative score of all the applicants, securing a First Source scholarship for $2,500 as well as the State scholarship for $750. Carson was chosen based on his outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements. He was Valedictorian of his class at Whitesboro High School and a member of the National Honor Society amongst other accolades. Carson also enjoys music and participates in multiple choral and instrumental programs.
First Source was founded as a teacher’s Credit Union and still strives to uphold these principals by funding education in our community. This scholarship will help Carson attend Austin College this fall.
“First Source takes pride in fostering education in our community.” said Tom Neumann, First Source President/CEO. “It is inspiring to see one of our own Members pursuing his dreams through higher education. We wish Carson the best in all his academic endeavors.”
