Greater Utica area resident and nationally touring comedian Mike Bova, a.k.a. Kountry Mike, officially released (digitally) his debut country music album on March 7 entitled Country Music. Since many of Kountry Mike’s fans requested something tangible, Kountry Mike will have compact discs for sale and available for autographs. Mike will also have his Veterans Are Superheroes tee shirts and hats for sale. One of Mike’s songs entitled Superheroes, was written to honor America’s armed forces and veterans.

Normally, twenty percent from Kountry Mike’s merchandise sales goes to the organization Stop Solider Suicide, but Mike wanted twenty percent from his local album launch party merch sales to benefit a local charity. “I want people to know that I not only love and support America’s military and veterans, I also love and support animals,” said Bova. “Anita’s Stevens Swan Humane Society does such amazing work in our area, and I want to support them.”

“We are deeply grateful for the generous support from Kountry Mike and the incredible community support around this release party,” said Trisha Barone, Executive Director for Anita’s Stevens Swan Humane Society. “These proceeds will make a meaningful impact in the lives of the animals we serve every day. Together, we’re not only raising funds – we’re raising hope,”

The album release party will be held at Big Apple Music in New Hartford on Saturday May 10, from 1-4pm. There will be a listening party, a meet and greet with Kountry Mike, an autograph signing session and all of Mike’s merchandise will be for sale. “I chose Big Apple Music for the location of the listening party because they’ve been such a huge support through the years, as they have for pretty much all of the local musicians,” said Bova.
