Broadway Utica is excited to announce that students participating in their Stage Ready Summer Intensive will present GREASE School Edition on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The performance will serve as the culmination of the organization’s immersive two-week educational theatre program for local students ages 12–18.

Tickets for the performance are $10 each, and children ages 5 and under are free. Purchase tickets at BroadwayUtica.org, by calling 315-624-9444, or in person at the Broadway Utica Box Office. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the show..

Stage Ready is Broadway Utica’s hands-on summer intensive designed to provide students with real-world experience in theatre performance and production. Throughout the program, participants receive training in acting, singing, dancing, character development, and collaboration while also gaining exposure to the many careers that make live theatre possible. Students may participate both on stage and behind the scenes in areas such as stage management, set design, hair and makeup, costuming, and production support.

This year’s production, GREASE School Edition, directed by Dennis J. Clark, will bring one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals to life through the talent and dedication of local young performers. Over the course of two weeks, students will work alongside experienced theatre professionals as they prepare for a fully staged public performance.

“Stage Ready is about much more than putting on a show,” said Carter Klumbach, Assistant Director of the program. “It’s an opportunity for students to discover their creativity, build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the teamwork that makes theatre so special, which is what I want for the next generation. My goal is to provide these young performers with the same kind of summer theatre experience that meant so much to me growing up. Watching these students develop their skills and confidence throughout the program, and then seeing them showcase their hard work onstage, is truly rewarding.”

Following the success of last year’s production of Fame Jr., Stage Ready continues to strengthen Broadway Utica’s commitment to arts education and youth development throughout Central New York. The program offers students a supportive environment where they can explore their passion for theatre, develop lifelong friendships, and gain valuable experience both on and off the stage.
