Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce Announces New Executive Director-
Kari Puleo

The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that they have named Kari Puleo as the Chamber’s new Executive Director. She will be replacing current Executive

Director Meghan Fraser McGrogan, who has held the position for the last six years. The official transition will happen at the end of February.

Puleo has been a resident of Utica for over fifteen years. For the past seven years, she has been the Director of Advancement for Notre Dame Schools, leading development, admissions, public relations and marketing functions. Through these efforts, Puleo has been responsible for strategically promoting the school’s brand, cultivating relationships, and soliciting gifts that support the school’s mission. She is excited to transition these areas of expertise to the Chamber members.
“The Board is very much looking forward to Kari’s contributions to the positive momentum we’ve been building over the last several years. Kari’s vast experience and active community involvement position her to further solidify the Chamber’s commitment to help our members succeed,” says Jennifer M. Osiecki, Esq., Chair of the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
“I’m ecstatic to be working alongside such a talented chamber team. Together, we will continue to build strong partnerships and connections for the Greater Utica business community,” said Puleo.
Puleo brings over twenty years of experience in non-profit management, development, marketing, and communications. She holds degrees in English and Professional Communication and Information Design from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. Puleo was recognized in 2018 as one of the Genesis Group’s Striving for Success award recipients and is a member of the Leadership Mohawk Valley Class of 2017. She currently serves on the Utica Dollars for Scholars Board, Boilermaker entertainment committee, and volunteers for a number of organizations.   She has also been very supportive of the Chamber in a variety of ways, most recently serving on the Catalyst Steering committee engaging young professionals with the organization.
She resides in Utica with her son, Ryan.
Join us in giving Kari a warm welcome to the Greater Utica Chamber Staff!
