On Friday, February 3 AmeriCU Credit Union helped Pink the Rink, at Utica University’s Pioneers Men’s Hockey Game. The event raised $3,220 to support The Baldwin Fund in their fight against cancer.

As part of Pink the Rink, special edition jerseys were auctioned. The credit union also sold AmeriCU Pink the Rink T-Shirts during the game. Funds raised benefited the Baldwin Fund and supported the nonprofit’s commitment to provide critical funding for cancer research. All funding stays in Central New York and helps support breast cancer research grants.

“We were honored to partner with AmeriCU and help make a difference in our community while enjoying a night of hockey,” says Gary Heenan, Utica University Head Men’s Hockey Coach. “I am grateful for our fans and team for supporting this amazing cause.”

In support of Pink the Rink, Jessica Arnold from The Baldwin Fund joined Ron Belle, President & CEO of AmeriCU, in a ceremonial puck drop at the start of the game. Fans were also encouraged to wear pink and stand together against breast cancer.
