The 2023 season opens in Old Forge, Thendara Station on Saturday May 13. The following day is Mother’s Day, and every mom qualifies for a flower and her ticket is reduced by 50 per cent.

Adirondack Railbike Adventures offers our guests the opportunity to experience the natural scenic beauty of the Adirondack mountains, lakes, and streams up close. Trips are offered in Old Forge and Tupper Lake, New York from May to October.

Railbikes are pedal-powered vehicles designed to allow riders to enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks at a more leisurely pace.

Our railbikes are proudly manufactured right here in Utica, NY.  The total ride is approximately one and a half to two hours long and tickets are now on sale for Thendara and Tupper Lake runs, on our website

“Railbikes are great way to explore the Adirondack Mountains as you pedal along the scenic rails,” says Frank Kobliski, President of Adirondack Railway Preservation Society.  “Fresh air and the smells of trees and flowers and sounds of rushing water and birds make rail biking on the historic railway once used by the New York Central Railroad an adventure that friends and family will remember. “

Adirondack Railbike Adventures is operated by the Adirondack Railway Preservation Society, Inc., a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization with main offices in Utica, New York.
