WHY: Heart Weekend in Rome celebrates the fight against our No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke. First, the Rome Go Red for Women Luncheon on National Wear Red Day brings local women together to create a relentless force against heart disease in women. The Luncheon features keynote speaker Jaclyn Davidson of Sweat CNY. Kelley Uvanni will share her personal connection to heart disease.
The Rome Indoor Walk and Pre-Registration features a heart healthy walk indoors and out of the cold. The event will feature Red Cap survivor ambassadors from the Rome area. The walk is also a pre-registration site for America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk.
