Empowered Pathways is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy Lyon as its permanent Executive Director, effective February 1, 2026. Lyon has served as Interim Executive Director since September 1, 2025, guiding the organization through a period of transition with steady leadership and a deep commitment to its mission.

Lyon’s connection to Empowered Pathways spans more than six years. He began his work with the organization in 2019 as an AmeriCorps Volunteer with the Community Mediation Service Corps Program, where he supported community-based conflict resolution efforts. Since that time, he has grown into leadership roles within Empowered Pathways and across the Community Dispute Resolution Center Network statewide, earning a reputation for thoughtful, values-driven leadership.

“I am committed to strong nonprofit governance,” said Deborah Kessler, new Board President. “That means clear roles, thoughtful decision-making, and a board that operates at a strategic level rather than in day-to-day management. When we do this well, we empower our Executive Director and staff to succeed while fulfilling our fiduciary responsibilities. I will work with our Executive Director to help highlight Empowered Pathways and it’s mission within the community.”
