SUNY Poly’s Undergraduate Admissions Office is thrilled to share an opportunity for local high school students to “walk with a Wildcat” at our upcoming SUNY Poly Shadow Days!
Shadow Days provide current high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to experience the educational
requirements to pursue a career in high-demand, high-earning industries that align with SUNY Poly’s degree
offerings. For one day, high school students shadow a SUNY Poly student in a major of their choosing; they
attend classes, eat in the dining hall, explore campus with their host, meet other SUNY Poly students, and more.
High school students can shadow current SUNY Poly students in a variety of majors including:
- Biology
- Business
- Civil Engineering
- Community + Behavioral Health
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Cybersecurity
- Electrical Engineering
- Interactive Media + Game Design
- Mechanical Engineering
- Nursing
- Psychology
- Sociology
The SUNY Poly Shadow Day program is a single-day commitment for high school students (approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and hosted at our campus in Utica, NY. High school students select the SUNY Poly student they would like to shadow based on a profile featuring their major, hometown, and campus involvement.
This spring, we’re offering nine SUNY Poly Shadow Days:
- February 24, 25, and 26
- March 24, 25, and 26
- April 14, 15, and 16
The registration deadline is 5 days before each event.
