On Wednesday, August 4, 2024, the Mohawk Valley Association of REALTORS® (MVAR) held its annual golf tournament and once again this year, the tournament benefitted the Military Program at Sitrin. This program provides complimentary, comprehensive care for post-9/11 veterans who have post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries, depression, anxiety, amputations, spinal cord injuries, and other combat-related conditions.

Sitrin’s post-traumatic growth program is unparalleled in that it promotes resilience and reintegration through a variety of treatment regimens that combine traditional therapies (occupational, physical and aquatic therapies) with individual psychology intervention, group therapy and family integration therapy, planned helpfulness, ecotherapy, equine assisted therapy, dance/movement therapy, biofeedback, and adaptive sports.

Because of the services they receive from this unique program, veterans served by Sitrin can begin the process of rebuilding their lives, reuniting with their families, and reentering their communities.

The Mohawk Valley Association of REALTORS® (MVAR) is proud to support this organization with this annual golf tournament, which also included large and small raffle prizes, a 50/50 drawing, and more. With this year’s contribution of $17,583.24, shared with Sitrin at the December 4^th MVAR Annual Membership Meeting, MVAR has contributed more than $113,000 from golf tournament proceeds to the Sitrin Military Program to date.
