Gilroy Kernan & Gilroy Inc. (GKG) of New Hartford, New York has announced an expansion of its professional team with Michelle Simonds joining as a Director of Client Strategy within the firm’s Employee Benefits division. Simonds will work with employers across the northeast to establish and maintain benefits programs that help to reward & retain top talent while staying in control of their benefits spend. She will provide guidance regarding plan design, budgeting, program analysis, compliance, and other measures in line with the clients’ fiscal and strategic goals.

Simonds brings nearly three decades of diverse industry experience with roles in leadership, consulting, sales, and account management. Her career has expanded across various dimensions of the insurance industry including carrier, third party administrator, and agent.

 

Simonds currently resides in Athens, Pennsylvania. She has been a member of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors since 2019. She is also actively involved in Habitat for Humanity, Community Food Bank, and her local church community ministry.
