SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) today introduced a new, 100-percent online Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Finance degree program, complementing the in-person B.S. in Finance program that SUNY Poly currently offers. The new online format, approved by SUNY and the New York State Education Department, prepares students with critical skills and employs the latest financial technologies. Students will be able to succeed in the finance world as they earn a degree at their own pace. Applications are already being accepted for Spring 2022. 

“SUNY Poly’s new online delivery of the Bachelor of Science in Finance program is an excellent and timely complement to SUNY Poly’s wide-ranging educational offerings,” said SUNY Poly Acting President Dr. Tod A. Laursen. “With the same high standards as SUNY Poly’s traditional in-person Finance program, this online format allows students the flexibility to complete the requirements in a way that aligns with the demands of life.”

The 124-credit, semester-based B.S. in Finance program features opportunities for hands-on learning through real-world projects and a student-run investment portfolio. In particular, the program allows students to use data sets ranging from large banking databases to high-frequency time series. Students can study on their own time and from anywhere they need to be to fulfill program requirements and earn their degree.
