Caps for the 2026 race will be announced early next year
In celebration of Race Director Jim Stasaitis’s 73rd birthday, the Boilermaker Road Race has announced a special registration period for the general public on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10 a.m.
Runners will have the opportunity to register for either the 15K race, presented by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, or the 5K race, presented by Utica National. Both events are scheduled for the morning of Sunday, July 12, 2026. The limited-time registration lasts just 73 hours, ending at 11:00 am on Friday, September 26. This allows anyone interested in participating in the 2026 Boilermaker to do so at the lowest price available to the public.
Along with a lower price than January’s registration period, this special registration will let runners secure their spots in the race. “I’m having another birthday, so we’re doing it again, Early Registration! I’m turning 73 and I’m opening registration to everyone for 73 hours starting at 10:00 am on September 23rd,” Stasaitis explained. “This will be your last chance to register at the lowest price until January 2026. So whether you’re signing up yourself, your family, or a friend, or getting a gift of a race bib for someone special, get it done early and save.”
Anyone wishing to register for the event should go to www.boilermaker.com.
