WKTV NewsChannel 2 is honored to have earned several journalism awards for our local news coverage in 2019. The New York State Associated Press bestowed a first place award for Best Spot News Coverage for our reporting on the Halloween floods, as well as second place for Best Newscast and Best Digital Presence. The New York State Broadcasters Association also honored NewsChannel 2 for Outstanding Use of Digital Platforms, and Chief Meteorologist Bill Kardas for Outstanding Weathercast.
