Brilliant glassware, handcrafted by artisans from the Corning Museum of Glass, will be raffled and auctioned at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute First Fridays Happy Hour, 5 to 8 p.m. Friday , December 6 in the Museum of Art.
Throughout the evening, the Institute will be collecting canned goods for the Utica Food Pantry. For each item donated, receive a ticket for a chance to win a magnificent glass bowl.
Raffle tickets will be sold at the museum to win a large daffodil vase. There will also be a silent auction of larger glass items. All proceeds from these items will enhance the MWPAI Centennial Campaign. The funds raised by this campaign will help to create a greener, more beautiful campus via a new campus master plan. Through thoughtful planning and design, MWPAI will build connections with people, communities, and art that make it more accessible, its neighborhood more beautiful, and the city more dynamic.
The December First Fridays Happy Hour will also feature live music by Nina’s Brew, food by Sarita’s Food Truck, crafts, and Museum micro-tours. The MWPAI Museum Shop will be featuring many items on sale.
