THE SALVATION ARMY OF CORPS KICKS OFF ITS
ANNUAL RED KETTLE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
All Funds Raised Stay Local to Help Those in Need
The Salvation Army of Utica will kick off its 2024 Red Kettle Campaign at 14 Clinton Place on November 12th at 1 PM with the goal of raising $125,000. The annual fundraiser supports Salvation Army programs and services in Utica throughout the year.
“We are excited to kick off our Red Kettle season here in the Utica area,” said Capt. Kelly Ross. “We continue to see a great need in our community as men, women, and children look to The Salvation Army for assistance in their time of need.”
The Salvation Army of Utica provides assistance to families and individuals a year through its food pantry and emergency assistance program, after-school programs, music programs, pastoral counseling, and Christmas and toy assistance.
“It is only through your generosity that we can respond to those in need 365 days a year through our services and programs,” Captain Ross said. “All funds raised stay local to make a difference right here in our community.”
This year’s Red Kettle Chair people are our Mayor Michael P. Galime & his wife Jody Galime.
This year as part of the Red Kettle Campaign, Mayor Michael P. Galime and his wife Jody Galime will be hosting a Holiday Dinner to raise money. This event will take place on Nov. 25th, 2024 5:30 pm. – 7:30pm Nostro Restobar and Lounge. For more information and to purchase tickets @ Utica’s Mayor Holiday Dinner – Campaign
Captain Ross added that The Salvation Army of Utica is also in need of volunteers to ring bells at Salvation Army Red Kettle locations throughout the community.
“By ringing the bell at a Red Kettle for two hours this holiday season, you are helping us feed a family of four for a week,” she Said. “From ringing the bell, adopting a family for Christmas, or hosting an Angel Tree, there are many ways to make a difference.”
