The Community at Sunset Wood is excited to announce the donation of our dining room chairs to 50 Forward Mohawk Valley, a local nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors in our community. This donation, made possible by the generosity of those who contributed to our capital campaign and a $7,000 grant from The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, allows us to extend the life of our current chairs by placing them in the capable hands of an organization that shares our dedication to supporting seniors.
Our recent facility upgrades, including the replacement of our dining room chairs, are designed to provide our tenants with greater stability, comfort, and ease of movement, enhancing their dining experience and supporting their independence. By selecting chairs that aid mobility and support, we are better able to fulfill our mission of “Aging in Place,” allowing our seniors to live independently with confidence.
In partnering with 50 Forward Mohawk Valley (https://www.50forwardmv.org/), we are thrilled to further our mission of helping seniors live fulfilling lives. By passing along these well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing chairs to 50 Forward, we ensure they will continue to benefit seniors in our area.
“We are delighted to see our chairs go to 50 Forward Mohawk Valley, where they will continue to serve seniors in meaningful ways,” said Dominick Manfredo, Executive Director & CEO of The Community at Sunset Wood. “This donation supports our mission to help seniors live independently, and we’re grateful to everyone who helped make this possible, especially The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.”
