Sitrin Health Care Center is spreading holiday cheer with its first “Home for the Holidays” decorating contest and celebration. On Wednesday, December 18, Sitrin will host an afternoon of holiday decorating, caroling, and festive fun!

Sitrin staff and residents will decorate the long-term care homes with their favorite seasonal flare, competing to see who can showcase the best holiday display. There are nine long-term houses in total, and each will be adorned with uniquely themed décor and gingerbread houses that represent their homes.

From 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., local church choirs, community volunteers, and Sitrin staff will sing popular carols throughout each of the resident homes.

Starting at 2:00 p.m., community leaders will visit the campus to judge their favorite designs. Judging criteria will be based on originality, arrangement, theme, and overall presentation of the holiday decorations.

Afterward, staff, residents, and guests can enjoy refreshments in the Community Center where awards will be given for first, second, and third place, as well as best gingerbread design.
