Primary Urgent Care has recently opened a separate COVID testing facility next door to
their South Utica Genesee Street location. With over 5,000 square feet, the additional space will reduce
wait times for those wishing to receive a rapid COVID test with no appointment needed. It will also allow
their South Utica clinic location to operate as COVID-free.
The locally-owned Primary Urgent Care locations in both Utica and Herkimer have been offering COVID
care since the beginning of the pandemic. They are one of the only facilities in our region to offer both
Rapid PCR and Antigen testing with same day results seven days a week. Test results for Rapid PCR are
available in under 40 minutes and Rapid Antigen results are available in only 15 minutes.
“With the opening of this separate testing facility, we’re able to accommodate the growing COVID testing
needs of our community while also being able to keep our South Utica clinic a safe space for everyday
healthcare needs,” said Administrator Daniel Trevisani.
Primary Urgent Care offers an affordable and convenient option to treat general illness and minor injuries
and offer preventative care and occupational medicine. They are fully equipped with high-tech x-ray and
lab equipment to provide high quality medical care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
Primary Urgent Care is located at 1904 Genesee St in Utica and at 130 West Albany St in Herkimer.
Open everyday from 7:30 am – 7:30 pm for walk-in visits. More information is available online at
