As child abuse prevention month approaches, Mohawk Valley Community action Agency, and the Mohawk Valley Trauma & Resilience Initiative is proud to announce a special event dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for the protection of children in our community. With a firm commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, we invite individuals, families, and community leaders to join us in this important initiative.
The event, scheduled for April 15, 2025, will include community partners from across the Mohawk Valley coming together to plant a pinwheel garden. The Mohawk Trauma & Resilience Initiative has created a list on how a good neighbor can prevent child abuse. These topics will be discussed and a blue pinwheel garden with over 100 pinwheels will be planted.
“We believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment” said Patti Demma, Resilience Coordinator at Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency. “Child Abuse Prevention Month serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of coming together as a community to protect our most vulnerable members.”
Together we can make a difference in the lives of children and create a future where every child can thrive.
“We are grateful for the support of our community partners and volunteers who help make events like this possible,” added Demma. “By working together, we can build a safer more caring community for all.”
Join Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency & the Mohawk Valley Trauma & Resilience Initiative in taking a stand against child abuse. Together we can make a difference.
