Northland Communications, a Central New York-based telecommunications provider, invites the public to attend Good Neighbor Day on Thursday, June 20, at NBT Bank Stadium.
Twenty-five local nonprofits have been raising money and awareness for their missions since the ‘Good Neighbor’ campaign kicked off over a month ago. The organizations have a chance at winning one of several monetary prizes donated by Northland Communications and The McCarthy Family Foundation.
On June 20th, a nonprofit showcase will begin at 5:30pm on the stadium concourse and will conclude at 6:00pm with an award ceremony where the winning nonprofits will be presented with their prizes.
The nonprofit who sells the most tickets to the game and the nonprofit with the most creative fundraising campaign will both receive $2,500 prizes. For overall funds raised throughout the campaign, the nonprofit with the second highest total will receive $5,000 and the nonprofit with the highest total will receive the grand prize of $10,000.
The winning nonprofit will also get to throw out the first pitch of the game between the Syracuse Mets and the Rochester Red Wings, which is scheduled for 6:35pm.
