The New Hartford Rotary Club has arranged with 20 area restaurants to feed local families during the COVID Crisis. The Rotary Club and Rotary District 7150 have collected $5,000.00 to pay participating restaurants to make meals that will feed a family of 4-6 people. Rotarians will then deliver the meals to The Neighborhood Center for distribution to families in need during the week of May 25th through May 29. Jim High, President of New Hartford Rotary, said; “This program gives us a time to serve the community despite the limitations that have been placed on what we can do. We’re grateful to be able to make a difference.”
Local restaurants have been hard hit due to COVID restrictions, so New Hartford Rotary will be purchasing five meals from the restaurants to defray the expense of providing the meals while providing a little economic relief for the restaurants. The participating restaurants are: Symeon’s Greek Restaurant, Aqua Vino, Georgio’s, Swifty’s, Carmella’s, Casa Too Mucha, Killabrew, Pumpernickel’s, The Chowder House, The Phoenician, Sammy’s, Cavallo’s, Prop’s Inn, Old School, Bella Cucina and Tiny’s.
The Neighborhood Center, Inc. provides professional, state-of-the-art mental health clinical and crisis services for children, youth, adults, and their families as well as psycho-social and care management services for adults.
