The Neighborhood Center is excited to announce that its satellite clinic at the Town of Webb School is now open and fully operational again. The agency is thrilled to once again provide accessible, high-quality mental health services to students, staff, and families in this rural community.

As part of this revitalization, Victor Chambers, a social worker under permit and Syracuse University graduate with a Master of Social Work degree, will be joining the team to provide therapy and counseling services for children and adults. Victor will work with individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and the impacts of loneliness.

“Expanding our satellite clinic to the Town of Webb School is a critical step in addressing the mental health needs of rural communities that may not have ready access to specialized care,” said Sandra Soroka, Executive Director of The Neighborhood Center. “By placing a trained therapist within the school, we can directly support students, teachers, and families in real-time, helping to address mental health concerns and strengthen emotional resilience for all involved.”

The Town of Webb School community has expressed its excitement and gratitude for this renewed partnership. John Swick, Principal of the Town of Webb UFSD, shared, “We are thrilled with this news for not just our students but also for our staff, families, and community members! The Town of Webb UFSD community will benefit directly in so many ways from this partnership being renewed and reopening with a new therapist.”

Victor’s therapeutic services will be available to children and adults, offering support for those experiencing stress, behavioral issues, and social difficulties. Victor commented, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to return to the Adirondacks, a region I’ve always loved, and support the Town of Webb School community. It’s exciting to bring therapy services directly to students and their families, and I believe we can make a real difference in improving emotional well-being and social connections.”

The addition of the Town of Webb School to the Neighborhood Center’s network of satellite clinics aligns with the organization’s mission to make mental health services more accessible to underserved populations. This expansion will also provide ongoing support to strengthen the emotional and social skills of students, helping them thrive in and out of the classroom.
