MVHS Welcomes New Hand/Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Potts earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, and a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed a residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and a fellowship in Orthopedic Hand Surgery at the University of Connecticut in Glastonbury, Connecticut.
Prior to joining MVHS, Dr. Potts was a hand/plastic surgeon at the Slocum-Dickson Medical Group in New Hartford.

MVHS Welcomes New Thoracic Oncology Nurse Navigator
Nicole Sardina, RN, BSN, has joined the MVHS Thoracic Surgery Group as Thoracic Oncology Nurse Navigator.
Sardina earned an Associate in Applied Science in Nursing from St. Elizabeth College of Nursing, Utica, New York, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, New Hampshire. She is currently certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Prior to joining the Thoracic Surgery Group, Sardina worked as Structural Heart Coordinator at St. Elizabeth Medical Campus, Utica, and as Structural Heart Nurse Navigator/ICU Nurse at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center in Syracuse, New York.
