May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to act collectively to raise awareness, fight stigma, provide support, connect with one another and practice self care. We work with individuals with mental health challenges every day,as we strive to Keep Families Together.
ICAN will once again be working Together for Mental Health with efforts happening throughout May including social media outreach and education and internal training and support for our hardworking staff. We have one effort we want to invite you to join us in!
Thursday, May 19, 2022 is ICAN’s Wear Green Day.
Please consider wearing green on May 19th to help raise awareness of mental health. We ask that you, along with your staff/team if you choose, submit a photo to us to include in an all-day effort on our Facebook and Instagram pages. We will include your name and tag your place of business and you are also free to include a statement if you choose. If you do not have green to wear, green ribbons or pins will work, too!
You can submit the photos to use throughout the day by texting our Marketing Coordinator Michelle Truett at 315-534- 0067 or emailing mtruett@ican.family.
#MHAM will help us all prioritize mental health and assure that anyone affected by mental illness can get the needed support and quality of care to live healthy, fulfilling lives — and never feel alone in their struggle.
