The last month has brought unprecedented changes and challenges to the lives and businesses of Central New York. Local home improvement company New York Sash is one local business that has had to dramatically change operations in response to the ‘New York State on PAUSE’ Executive Order.

After initially deeming most construction workers as essential, New York State reversed course on March 27th and ordered work be safely stopped at all non-essential construction sites until April 29th. In response, New York Sash temporarily paused home installations and closed their Showroom but has developed a new way to work remotely for those interested in their windows, siding, bath and door products – by offering virtual consultations.

As the community is forced to stay home, New York Sash recognizes that house upgrades may be more pressing than usual. The company is offering virtual consultations to fast-track the design process and help homeowners be prepared for remodeling as soon as work is able to start again.

“As we navigate what this pandemic has caused, we are continuing to place the health and safety of our customers, employees and community at the forefront of everything we do. We have been serving our community for over 30 years, we have seen some uncertain times and we know we will get through this together,” said New York Sash owner Scot Hayes.

New York Sash has been family-owned and operated since 1989. In addition to serving over 15,000 customers in the Mohawk Valley the company is known for bettering the community through numerous charitable initiatives such as the New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss, Ride for Missing Children and their New York Sash GIVES Charity Referral campaign.

If you have a computer or tablet, a tape measure and time to connect with a designer, New York Sash can provide you with design help, for free. For more information or to set up a virtual consultation, visit www.newyorksash.com.
